The question reflects the current status of the law in Canada. If you are HIV positive and do not disclose your HIV status with sexual partners, you may be subject to criminal charges in certain situations. Our debaters discussed this issue as volunteers. It is important that you understand that they may or may not be representing their own personal opinions.

They are helping us to illuminate the legal, moral, public health and the very human realities involved. They are working hard to enable each one of us to hear and to understand the issues involved, and to challenge our own and other’s assumptions.
